On September 26th AIM members had a Business Breakfast with the Ambassador of Sweden H.E. Anna Lyberg.
The goal of the meeting was to present the organization and give the opportunity to AIM members to present their business and find more about the support of Government of Sweden to the reforms in the Republic of Moldova.
The AIM President, David Smith, presented AIM initiative, the Declaration of the Small Business Bill of Rights, shared the challenges that entrepreneurs face when doing business in Moldova and how these challenges can be reduced. Also, David mentioned the main recommendations and actions taken for reforms of SMEs in the economic environment.
H.E.Ambassador of Sweden Anna LYBERG underlined that the economic development of Moldova is in correlation with the EU-MD Association Agreement. Thus, Government of Sweden support DCFTA implementation agreement and supports industries like, IT, wine production, fashion etc.. At the same time, H. E. mentioned that SMEs can develop their potential in textile and agriculture.
Participants exchanged opinions on the economic situation in Moldova, underlining the importance of transparency, education and economic development for enabling a good business climate that will assure a sustainable development.
