On November 20, AIM – Alliance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Moldova together with the Soros Foundation-Moldova and the Council of Rectors of Moldova organized a workshop in form of discussion on Education in the Vision of the Business Environment.
The purpose of this workshop was to mobilize public opinion in favour of the quality of university education and its connection to the requirements of the national economy.
Some of the problems addressed were the lack of competition for a job and the motivation of the young graduates, the insufficiency of the teachers and their poor preparation in the general and higher education to meet the challenges and facilitate the connection of the educational offer and the way in which it is taught to the needs of the small business.
AIM members have been exposed on topics related to the level of preparation of students, the importance of developing the university education system in correlation with the requirements of the business environment, as well as the expectations of SMEs regarding the skills of young specialists.
