Monitoring and Evaluation Report on Participation in the Decision-Making Process

AIM is the voice of over 100 SMEs in the Republic of Moldova, and one of our core activities is the representation of our members on the platforms for dialogue between the business environment and public authorities.

That is why, every year, our team strengthens members’ proposals to improve the framework regulation for SMEs in a single document – AIM legislative agenda, which is based on problems in the sector and solutions to eliminate them. The initiatives in question are focused on developing a sustainable and stable economic environment in the country.

AIM’s efforts to implement its Legislative Agenda were monitored and evaluated in August 2023, and the results were prepared in the form of an annual report, prepared for the period 1 August 2022 – 1 August 2023.

According to this report, of all the acts that have been carried out to a full extent, 33% have a major impact on the activity of SMEs, 50% has an average beneficial impact and only 17% produce a reduced beneficial effect.

It should be noted that a number of initiatives launched by AIM have joined and supported by other associations and stakeholders, and the final documents represented a collective contribution or joint cooperation, as appropriate.

More details can be seen in the Monitoring and Evaluation Report of Participation in the Decision Making Process.

AIM’s efforts in developing and proposing reforms and proposals to adjust the legal framework are carried out with the financial support of partners and donors: Center for International Private Enterprises 2 ( CIPE ) and the OPTIM Project supported by the Swiss government and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation 3 .

AIM will continue in the next period its involvement in contributing to the development of a favorable business environment for the development of all SMEs in the Republic of Moldova.
